Our ADA Accessibility Remediation Roadmap

Phase 1: Audit & Foundation (August 2025)

Comprehensive Audit: Initiated a site-wide scan using AccessibilityChecker.org to identify critical WCAG 2.1 Level AA violations.

Strategic Prioritization: Identified "Global Elements" (Header, Footer, and Navigation) as the first priority to ensure every page has a baseline level of accessibility.

Policy Establishment: Drafted our internal Accessibility Policy and published our public Commitment Statement to ensure transparency with our users.

Phase 2: Core Remediation (December 2026)

Navigation & Keyboard Access: Remediated the main menu and interactive elements to ensure full functionality for users who cannot use a mouse.

Visual Enhancements: Updated site-wide color contrast ratios to meet the 4.5:1 standard for text and improved "focus indicators" so keyboard users can see where they are on the page.

Alternative Text Overhaul: Began a manual review of thousands of product images to provide descriptive Alt-Text for screen-reader users.

Phase 3: Deep Optimization & Verification (January 2026)

Form & Checkout Accessibility: Focused on the shopping cart and checkout flow, ensuring all form labels and error messages are clear and perceivable by assistive technology.

Content Structural Updates: Reorganized page heading structures (H1, H2, H3) across the top-performing pages to improve screen-reader navigation and SEO.

Continuous Monitoring: Established a monthly "Scan & Fix" cycle to ensure that as new products are added, they meet our rigorous accessibility standards from day one.

Our Ongoing Commitment to ADA Accessibility

Moving forward, we view accessibility as a continuous journey rather than a one-time fix, which is why we have established a proactive roadmap for the future. Our strategy includes regular monthly scans using professional auditing tools to ensure that any new products or features meet our high standards from day one and to prevent any technical regressions. We are committed to the constant improvement of our user experience, specifically focusing on refining screen-reader compatibility for dynamic elements like our checkout flow and search filters. Furthermore, we are systematically addressing all remaining accessibility points, to ensure that Fab Glass and Mirror remains a fully inclusive and barrier-free shopping destination for every visitor.
